Barcode & QR Generators
Free QR Code Generator
Create QR codes for links, Wi-Fi, contacts, email, SMS, and text — download PNG, SVG, or PDF.
Runs locally in your browser — your input is not uploaded.
What is this tool?
Create a QR code that opens a website, joins a Wi-Fi network, saves a contact, or starts an email, SMS, or phone call. The codes are static, so they never expire and have no scan limits, and you can export them at an exact print size.
QR codes store short pieces of data that phone cameras read instantly. ToolForge builds the standard formats phones understand: plain URLs, mailto: links, tel: numbers, SMSTO: messages, WIFI: network credentials, and vCard 3.0 contact cards.
Error correction lets a code survive scratches, smudges, or a logo placed on top. Medium (15%) suits most uses; choose High (30%) for printed materials that may get damaged.
Files are exported at the exact physical size you choose. PNG and JPEG files include DPI information so they print at the right size, SVG stays sharp at any scale, and PDF is ready for print shops.
Everything is generated in your browser. Wi-Fi passwords, contacts, and links are never sent to ToolForge servers.
How to use the QR Code Generator
- Choose what the QR code should do: open a website, join Wi-Fi, save a contact, send an email or SMS, call a number, or show text.
- Fill in the fields — the preview updates as you type.
- Set the size in centimetres, resolution, colours, and error correction if you need to.
- Download as PNG, JPEG, SVG, or PDF, or copy the image straight into a document.

Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is stored directly in the code — there is no redirect service, so it works forever and there are no scan limits.
What size should I print a QR code?
At least 2 × 2 cm for close scanning (business cards, labels). For posters, a common rule is about 1 cm of code per 10 cm of scanning distance.
Which file format should I choose?
PNG for documents and websites, SVG for designers and very large prints, PDF for print shops, and JPEG when a tool doesn't accept PNG.
Is my Wi-Fi password uploaded?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server.
