ToolForge is designed so most tools can run entirely in your browser. When a tool can process input locally, it does. We do not operate a V1 backend that stores your tool input.

Local processing

Developer and text tools such as JSON Formatter, JWT Decoder, Base64, URL Encoder, and similar utilities transform data on your device. Your content is not uploaded to ToolForge servers for those operations.

The same applies to files you open in a tool (for example JSON, CSV, or Excel files) and to generated output such as QR codes and barcodes: they are read and created in your browser and are not stored by ToolForge.

The Push Notification Tester is the one tool that talks to an outside service: when you click Send, your browser contacts Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) directly with your service account, device tokens, and message. ToolForge never receives them, and Google handles that data under its own terms.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

ToolForge may display ads served by Google AdSense (or related Google advertising services). Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to ToolForge and/or other sites on the Internet. Ads are never placed inside the tool workspaces, and advertisers never receive the content you type or upload into a tool.

We use a cookie consent banner with Google Consent Mode v2. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you click Accept; elsewhere you can turn them off with Decline. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the site footer.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how ToolForge is used. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as scrolling, outbound link clicks, tools opened or run, copy/download clicks, file uploads (file type and size only), tool search terms, theme and language changes, errors, and page performance metrics.

We intentionally never send the contents of your tool input or uploaded files to Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors. Cookies and local storage

Essential preferences such as theme and language may be stored locally. Google Analytics and advertising partners may set additional cookies as described in the Cookie Policy and, where required, only after consent.
