Speed Tests
Reaction Time Test and Click Speed (CPS) Test
Test your reflexes in milliseconds and measure how many clicks per second you can do in 1 to 60 seconds.
What is this tool?
Two quick tests of speed. In the reaction test, wait for the box to turn green and click as fast as you can — your time is measured in milliseconds and averaged over attempts. In the CPS test, click as many times as possible before the timer runs out.
Most people react to a visual signal in 200–300 milliseconds. Your result also includes your device's input and display delay, so wired mice and high-refresh-rate screens score slightly better.
Average click speed is about 6–7 clicks per second; gamers using jitter or butterfly clicking can exceed 10. Results are stored only in this browser.
How to use the Reaction Time & CPS Test
- Choose Reaction time or Click speed (CPS).
- Reaction: click to start, wait for green, then click as fast as you can. Repeat to build an average.
- CPS: pick a duration and start clicking in the box; the timer starts with your first click.
- Compare your average and best results, then try to beat them.
Examples
CPS
52 clicks in a 5-second round = 10.4 clicks per second.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good reaction time?
Around 250 ms is typical. Under 200 ms is fast, and consistent results under 150 ms are exceptional.
Why did it say “Too soon”?
You clicked before the box turned green. The delay is random, so wait for the color change rather than guessing.
Does it work on touch screens?
Yes. Tap instead of clicking. Touch screens add a little latency, so results may be slightly slower than with a mouse.
