Date Difference Calculator: Days Between Dates
Find the span between two dates.
What is this tool?
Find out how long it is between two dates, whether for a project deadline, a notice period, a trip, or a countdown. You get the span as years, months, and days, plus a single total-days figure.
Useful for project timelines, warranty periods, and event planning. If the end date is before the start date, the absolute difference is shown and marked as reversed.
How to use the Date Difference Calculator
- Enter a start date and an end date.
- Click Calculate to see the breakdown and the total number of days.
- If the end date comes first, the result shows the absolute difference and marks it as reversed.
Frequently asked questions
Are end dates inclusive?
Total days uses the millisecond difference divided by one day, which counts full 24-hour periods between the date-only UTC midnights.
Does it count weekends and holidays?
Yes. The result counts calendar days, including weekends and public holidays. It does not calculate business days.
How do I count both the start and end date?
Add one to the total. For example, Monday to Friday of the same week is 4 days apart, or 5 days if you include both ends.
